Kayak Fishing, Fish Play Dead

Frank and I went kayak fishing early in the morning at Lost Creek Resovior. The sun was not even up when we started it was a bit chilly. By the time the sun came up I was so grateful as my toes and fingers were a bit frozen. I caught five small fish which I released and kept fishing looking for that big one.

Have you ever seen a fish play dead. Well it was a first for me too. After unhooking a a small fish I caught I placed the fish back in the water thinking it would swam away. Moments later I was getting ready to cast again and saw the fish laying on it side floating like it was dead. I thought I killed the baby fish. So I paddled over to see if I could swim life back in it but when I touched the fish it swam away into the deep. This happen twice, I found it hiliarious.
